West Harbour Gardens

West Harbour Gardens

Last week, the Year 2 team went on our annual trip to West Harbour Gardens Residential Home. The children had been practising and preparing for this for weeks and were very excited when we ventured out the school gate.

We walked to West Harbour Gardens where we sang a selection of songs to the residents and then gave them gifts that the children had made.

After having an ice block, we headed back to school. We walked through the Luckens Reserve Walkway and completed our adventure at the Luckens Reserve where we had a picnic lunch and then a play on the playground.

The children (and teachers) were exhausted with achievement, having walked 6kms, and were pleased to be back at school.
