Walking Water Experiment

Walking Water Experiment

This week we continued our learning about colours by conducting an experiment using food colour, water, and paper towels. We initially set up our experiment.

Then we discussed, predicted and created our hypothesis. Our hypothesis was that the water would get soaked up by the paper towels and mix in the cups in the middle. The primary colours would mix and make secondary colours.

We then watched throughout the day to see what would happen. We were very excited to see the coloured water starting to be absorbed by the paper and move into the empty cups.

At the end of the day, we observed our final results and looked back at our hypothesis to make our conclusion. We were pleased to see that our hypothesis had been correct! It was a perfect demonstration of how the primary colours mix to make the secondary colours.
