Corbans Estate Arts Centre Today Room 7 & 8 went on our trip to the arts centre. When we took part in a workshop called 'My Story Rocks'. First children painted river pebbles with white paint and then they designed some symbols that represented things that are special to them. The kids had lots of good ideas and it was really cool to hear the stories they were sharing about themselves. After designing their symbols the kids drew them on their pebbles and decorated a calico bag to keep their 'story rocks' in.

Room 7 were very excited to see Cooper and really enjoyed watching and patting him. Cooper was very relaxed and happy to wander around, meet everyone, and even licked some of us!
Finn the Movie star dog This week Jimmy's pet dog Finn came for a visit. He has starred on the movie 'Hunt for the Wilderpeople' and adverts amongst other things. We really enjoyed the visit and had fun writing about Finn as well as learning how to draw dogs like Finn. Go to https://youtu.be/WhC0FztMXcU to see Finn in an advert. Finn came to our classroom. He is nine. He has Jimmy for his owner. He is black, brown, white. He is a movie star and has his own bank account. He doesn’t let the ball go. Finn is a big dog not a little dog. Jessie Finn came in our classroom. He sat down and stood up and he didn’t bite anyone. He didn’t because he was friendly. He was old. We love Finn because he can talk. We want him to come back.
